TributePen helps people find words at one of the hardest moments there is: when someone has died and you are the one asked to speak, to write the obituary, or simply to send a card.

How the guides are written

Each guide explains a structure (what goes in a eulogy, the order of an obituary, what to write in a card), then shows several complete examples with notes on why they work and what to change. Every example was written for this site. The people, names and details in them are invented. They are models, never someone's real story, and never copied from another site. When a guide states a fact that needs a source, the source is linked; otherwise we do not state it.

How the personalized texts work

If you want help with your own text, you answer a short questionnaire and pay once. An AI writing assistant then writes your eulogy, obituary or message from your answers alone, following rules we wrote for grieving families:

• use only the facts and memories you give, never invent any;
• no platitudes such as "everything happens for a reason" or "a better place";
• no religious language unless you choose a faith setting;
• no cause of death unless you include it;
• the length and tone you chose.

You read it, revise it (revisions are included) and make it yours. If the text cannot be written, you are refunded automatically; if it does not work for you, you can ask for a refund within 14 days.

What we will never do

No fake reviews, no countdowns, no pressure to buy, and no selling of your answers. Your answers are used only to write your text; see the privacy policy.
