Terms of sale

These terms apply to every purchase made on tributepen.com. Please read them before you pay; by ticking the box and paying, you accept them.

1. Seller

The seller is LACANGEL GROUP, SAS (French simplified joint-stock company), SIREN 995 268 018, registered office: 1 rue Marguerin, 75014 Paris, France ("we"). Contact: administration@lacangel.fr.

2. What we sell

Personalized texts written from the answers you give in our questionnaire:

  • Personalized eulogy ($19): a complete eulogy for the length you choose, three delivery tips and a large-print reading copy; 2 revisions included.
  • Personalized obituary ($15): a full obituary, a shorter newspaper version and a short online announcement; 1 revision included.
  • Personalized sympathy or thank-you message ($12): three versions (short, medium, long); 1 revision included.

The texts are written by an AI writing assistant following rules we set (use only the facts given, no invented facts, no clichés, the tone and faith setting you choose). They are delivered as text on a private web page, which you can copy, print or save as a PDF. They are not reviewed by a person before delivery: you are responsible for checking names, dates and facts before you read, publish or send the text.

3. Prices and payment

Prices are in US dollars and include any applicable taxes. Payment is made once, by card, on Stripe's secure payment page; we never see your card number. The charge appears on your statement as "OG* TRIBUTEPEN", and the payment page shows the name of our Stripe account, "baleines-invisibles.fr". Your bank may add foreign transaction fees, since the seller is based in France.

4. Delivery

Writing starts as soon as the payment is confirmed. The text usually appears on screen within about a minute, and a confirmation email with the private link is sent to the address you entered on the payment page. The link remains valid; if you lose it, find a purchase sends it again.

5. Revisions

Each text includes the number of revisions stated above. You ask for a revision by describing the change in a sentence on your text's page. You may also edit the text freely yourself: once delivered, it is yours to use, change, print and share.

6. Refunds

  • If the text cannot be written (technical failure or the assistant declines), you are refunded automatically and in full.
  • If the text does not work for you, write to us within 14 days of your purchase and we refund you in full. No justification is required.

Details: refund policy. Refunds go back to the card used, usually within 5 to 10 business days depending on your bank.

7. Immediate delivery of digital content

Because the text is written and delivered right away, you ask us, by ticking the box before payment, to perform the service immediately. For buyers resident in the European Union, this means the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for digital content ends once delivery has begun; our own refund policy above still applies.

8. Your answers and the text

You must have the right to share the information you enter, and you must not use the service to write anything unlawful, defamatory or hurtful about a real person. We may refuse or refund an order that breaks this rule. You own the delivered text. We do not publish your answers or your text, and we do not use them to train any AI model. See the privacy policy.

9. Liability

We do our best to deliver a respectful, accurate text from your answers, but we cannot guarantee that a text written by an AI assistant is free of errors. Our liability for any order is limited to the price you paid for it, except where the law does not allow such a limit.

10. Complaints and disputes

Write to us first at administration@lacangel.fr: we answer every message, usually the same day. Buyers resident in the European Union may then refer the dispute, free of charge, to the consumer mediator we are registered with: CM2C (Centre de la Médiation de la Consommation de Conciliateurs de Justice), 49 rue de Ponthieu, 75008 Paris, France, online at the mediator's claim form. These terms are governed by French law, without depriving you of the protection given by the mandatory rules of the country where you live.
