Privacy policy

The data controller is LACANGEL GROUP, SAS (French simplified joint-stock company), SIREN 995 268 018, registered office: 1 rue Marguerin, 75014 Paris, France, contact administration@lacangel.fr. We collect as little as we can.

What stays in your browser

The free tools (eulogy length calculator, outline builder, obituary template, funeral program) run entirely in your browser. What you type, and any photo you choose for a program, is never sent to us; drafts are saved in your browser's local storage so you can come back to them, and you can clear them at any time.

What we collect when you buy

  • Your questionnaire answers (names, memories, facts), to write your text.
  • Your email address and payment details, collected by Stripe on its payment page. We receive your email address, the amount and the payment status; we never see your card number.
  • The text we write for you, so that you can come back to it with your private link.

Answers and texts are stored with your payment record at Stripe (our payment processor), not in a separate database. Our server keeps short technical logs (date, product, status) that contain none of your answers.

Who processes it

  • Stripe (payments), which also stores your answers and your text attached to your payment.
  • Anthropic (the AI model that writes the text), which receives your answers to write it. Under its commercial terms, data sent through its API is not used to train its models.
  • Resend (sending the confirmation email), which receives your email address and the link to your text, not your answers.
  • Google Cloud (hosting, in the European Union).

Some of these providers are based in the United States. We never sell your data and never use it for advertising.

How long we keep it

We delete your answers and your text 12 months after your purchase. The payment record itself (amount, date, product, email) is kept for the period required by accounting law.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data, or to delete your text early, by writing to administration@lacangel.fr. Residents of the European Union may also complain to the French data protection authority (CNIL). California residents have the rights described in the California Consumer Privacy Act; we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context advertising.

Cookies

This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. It uses your browser's local storage only for the conveniences described above.
